EXAM RULES

Attendance Requirements

1. A student is eligible to write the University examinations only if she acquires a minimum of 75% of attendance in aggregate of all the subjects.

2. Condonation of shortage of attendance in aggregate up to 10% (65% and above and below 75%) in each semester or I year may be granted by the College Academic Committee.

3. Shortage of Attendance below 65% in aggregate shall not be condoned

4. A student who is short of attendance in semester / I year may seek re-admission into that semester/I year when offered within 4 weeks from the date of the commencement of class work.

5. Students whose shortage of attendance is not condoned in any semester/I year are not eligible to write their end semester examination of that class and their registration stands cancelled.

6. A stipulated fee shall be payable towards condonation of shortage of attendance

7. A student will be promoted to the next semester if he satisfies the attendance requirement of the present semester/I year, as applicable, including the days of attendance in sports, games, NCC and NSS activities.

8. If any candidate fulfills the attendance requirement in the present semester or I year, he shall not be Eligible for readmission into the same class

Minimum Academic Requirements

R13 REGULATIONS

1. A student will not be promoted from II year to III year unless he fulfills the academic requirement of 17 credits out of 28 credits in II year I semester or 34 credits out of 56 credits upto II year II Semester, from all the examinations, whether or not the candidate takes the examinations and Secures prescribed minimum attendance in II year II semester.

2. A student shall be promoted from III year to IV year only if he fulfills the academic requirements of 50 credits out of 84 credits up to III year I semester or 68 credits out of 112 credits upto IIIYear II Semester from all the examinations, whether or not the candidate takes the examinations and secures prescribed minimum attendance in III year II semester.

R15 REGULATIONS

All the I B.Tech students are informed to note the following R15 Regulations issued by the JNTUH from the academic year 2015-16:

1. A student will not be promoted from I Year to II Year unless he/she fulfills the academic requirement of 28 credits out of 56 credits of I Year from all the examinations and secure prescribed minimum attendance of 75 % in I Year.

2. A student shall be promoted from II year to III year if he/she fulfills the academic requirement of 50 credits from the following examinations:

a.One regular and one supplementary of I Year

b.One regular and one supplementary examination of II year I semester irrespective of whether or not the candidate takes the examination.

3. A student shall be promoted from III year to IV year if he/she fulfills the academic requirement of 84 credits from the following examinations:

a.Two regular and two supplementary examinations of I Year.

b.Two regular and two supplementary examinations of II year I semester.

c.Two regular and one supplementary examinations of II year II semester.

d.One regular and one supplementary examinations of III year I semester.

4.For Lateral Entry (LE) students:

A student shall be promoted from II year to III year if he/she fulfills the academic requirement of 56 credits from the following examinations:

a.One regular and one supplementary examinations of II year I semester irrespective of whether or not the candidate takes the examination.

A student shall be promoted from III year to IV year if he/she fulfills the academic requirement of 50 credits from the following examinations:

a.Two regular and two supplementary examinations of II year I semester.

b.Two regular and one supplementary examinations of II year II semester.

c.One regular and one supplementary examinations of III year I semester
