COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING

The Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department at VMTW, Started in 2008 with an initial intake of 90 students, has steadily grown in prominence and capacity over the years. With a foresightful expansion strategy, the department augmented its intake to 120 in 2011, further to 180 in 2019, and an impressive 240 in 2023, demonstrating a commitment to nurturing and accommodating the burgeoning talent in the field.

A hallmark achievement for the department came in 2019 when its B.Tech CSE program received accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), an indication to its academic excellence and adherence to rigorous standards. Not resting on its laurels, the department reaffirmed its commitment to quality education by securing reaccreditation in 2022 valid through 2025, ensuring that the program maintains its high standards over the years.

At the heart of the department's success lies its distinguished faculty, comprising seasoned academicians with Ph.D. credentials and a deep passion for teaching and research. Complementing this wealth of experience are faculty members actively pursuing Ph.D.s in cutting-edge fields.

The academic vigour of the department is further accentuated by the prolific research output of both faculty and students. Numerous journals, books, and book chapters authored by the department's members underscore their commitment to advancing knowledge and contributing to scholarly discourse Moreover, the department has established Centres of Excellence in key areas such as Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI&ML), serving as hubs for research, innovation, and collaborative endeavours with industry partners. This collaborative spirit extends to the department's numerous Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with reputed organizations, including MSME, ALEAP, and TASK (Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge), facilitating industry-academia partnerships and promoting experiential learning opportunities for students.

To enrich the learning experience further, the department conducts a variety of programs in collaboration with professional bodies such as ISTE, CSI, and IETE, providing students with access to workshops, seminars, and training sessions conducted by industry experts and thought leaders.

The department's efforts culminate in remarkable placement statistics, with nearly 90 percent of its students securing lucrative job offers from prestigious organizations such as Amazon, Flipkart, Rakuten, Publicis Sapient, ADP, Accenture, Cognizant, Capgemini, among others. The department takes pride in its students' achievements, with the highest package reaching an impressive 20 lakhs per annum, a testament to the quality of education and training imparted.
